Luis Diaz has now made it more than clear that he’d like to leave Liverpool this summer.

This is likely why Slot is doing everything in his power to keep him at Liverpool; however, since he isn’t a guaranteed starter and isn’t likely earning as much as he deserves to be, it’s also obvious why Diaz wants a move.
One of the main areas that Liverpool have been looking to upgrade within their first-team squad this summer is their attack.
And, while speaking live on talkSPORT, Simon Jordan gave his thoughts on what it would take for Diaz to be sold by Liverpool this summer.
“He’s a good player, if someone is going to buy him, they’re going to have to pay the money that Liverpool want,” he said.

“That means that they’re going to have to bid way above what the player is worth.”
Although Diaz could end up leaving Liverpool for nothing at the end of next season, it doesn’t make sense for them to sell him without having a replacement lined up.

Indeed, there’s also Lyon’s Malick Fofana, who was linked with Liverpool earlier in the window, but now that Paulo Fonseca’s men have had their Ligue 1 status reinstated, he’s also going to cost a pretty penny.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store at Anfield, but unless a massive bid for Diaz comes in before the transfer deadline, it feels unlikely that the Colombian will be allowed to exit.
