Sir Kenny Dalglish has urged Fenway Sports Group to back Liverpool in the transfer market if Arne Slot wishes to strengthen his squad this summer.

The Dutchman has led the Reds to the Premier League title in his first season in charge, with Sunday’s 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur clinching the championship.

Meanwhile, Dalglish has paid tribute to Slot after leading Liverpool to the title, admitting nobody could have asked anymore from the Dutchman after he took over from Klopp.

“Obviously Jurgen had done a fantastic job at Liverpool,” Dalglish said on Anfield Index’s ‘The King and AI podcast’.
