Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish has sent a heart-warming message to Lucas Leiva after he announced his retirement from football. The former announced on Friday that he would be retiring from professional football with immediate effect due to a heart condition. He has not played since December, after being told to take a step back from playing while his condition was assessed. In an emotional press conference, his decision to retire from football, where he also paid thanks to his former clubs, including Liverpool. The 36-year-old had been playing with his first club Gremio in Brazil prior to his retirement.
Now Dalglish, who managed Lucas during his spell in the Anfield dugout from 2010-12, has sent a heart-warming message to the Brazilian on Twitter.
“We are all here if we can be of any help whatsoever, and we wish you luck in your next chapter.
