Liverpool appear set to part ways with winger Federico Chiesa this summer after just one season on Merseyside.

Signed from Juventus for a base fee of £10 million plus £2.5 million in add-ons ahead of the 2024–25 campaign, Chiesa managed only 14 appearances – starting four times – under Arne Slot despite collecting a Premier League winners’ medal.

His limited involvement under Arne Slot has sparked speculation about a summer exit, with AC Milan, Napoli, and a potential Juventus reunion all floated as destinations.

Chiesa’s struggles stemmed from a disrupted preseason?

Frozen out at Juventus, he trained individually for months, arriving at Liverpool without match sharpness.

Recurring illnesses further delayed his integration, limiting him to sporadic substitute appearances.

Slot emphasized the difficulty of reintroducing a player lacking rhythm into a congested fixture list.

Now Sacha Tavolieri for Sky Sport Switzerland has revealed the conditions that Liverpool wants for the sale of Federico Chiesa.

The reporter claims that the 27-year-old has several potential destinations in Italy this summer.

AS Roma’s coach Gian Piero Gasperini has long admired the former Juventus player and remains interested in bringing him to the club.

Atalanta, meanwhile, are preparing for the likely departure of Ademola Lookman and views Chiesa as a target to fill that gap.

Tavolieri then explains that Liverpool would be happy to sanction a sale of the Italy international for around €15m:

“To leave Liverpool, the English leaders are asking for up to fifteen million euros and do not want, for the moment, to hear about a paid loan with an option, or even an obligation to buy, as is often the case in Italian football,” the journalist clarifies.

“The Reds have been clear with the player’s agents: to let him go, Federico Chiesa will have to bring money to the banks of the Mersey.”

According to the report, Chiesa’s agent has also presented his case to AC Milan and Napoli.

While both clubs have his name on their radar, they currently do not see him as a priority signing.

Instead, they regard him as a valuable market option that could be pursued later in the transfer window if circumstances change.
