Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates issued an apologetic start to her interview with Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk as they celebrated lifting the Premier League trophy at Anfield following a season-finale draw against Crystal Palace.
With a beaming smile, Van Dijk led the celebrations on Anfield turf by hoisting the trophy skywards, prompting renditions of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' alongside the Reds' fans in a heartfelt tribute to their victorious season.
The skipper and Salah found themselves center stage in jubilant festivities before being beckoned over for a chat with Sky's cameras.
Cates had previously encountered a delay in speaking to Salah, who was preoccupied with celebrating Liverpool's success, and once he finally made it to the interview section, joined by Van Dijk, she expressed her gratitude and apologies: "Thank you so much for coming over to talk with us, apologies for dragging you away from these incredible scenes.
Van Dijk, brimming with pride, responded to what it meant to raise the trophy in front of Liverpool's supporters: "It's incredible, last time we didn't have a chance to do it in front of the Kop [due to Covid restrictions], today we had a chance and it is an incredible feeling to win the Premier League for this club.
"I don't think so (heard Anfield so loud), I don't think so, it's a really great feeling to win the second one with the fans; I am really happy."
He added: "It's incredible.
