Sky Sports have left staff "dismayed" after chiefs cancelled popular programme The Football Show
Sky Sports staff have reportedly been left "dismayed" after popular programme The Football Show was scrapped ahead of next season.
The long-running show was aired every Monday and hosted by presenter Rob Wotton.
Wotton was joined by co-hosts Stephen Warnock and Sue Smith as they helped him discuss events from the Premier League weekend.
But according to the Daily Mail, Sky chiefs have decided to axe the show with a focus on bringing in younger viewers.
Officials are hoping to attract more YouTube influencers and fans with big social media followings, the report states, switching up the way Sky approaches their shows.
It is believed the changes will make the channel "more agile and able to concentrate on breaking news stories".

It comes after Sky were involved in a row with Nottingham Forest after pundit Gary Neville was banned from their final day clash with Chelsea over his controversial comments about the club's owner Evangelos Marinakis.
After Neville failed to receive accreditation from Forest, the pundit said: "I've had no choice but to withdraw from the coverage.
