Ange Postecoglou has made a new plan to keep his best players at Nottingham Forest amid growing interest from Premier League rivals.
Elliot Anderson‘s future has been the subject of speculation in what has been a top week for the midfielder after his first international break away with England.
Anderson star has received high acclaim for his performances under Thomas Tuchel, as Anderson was named man of the match against Andorra and again against Serbia.
However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Forest have no plans to let the the 22-year-old leave the City Ground.
Sources say, following Postecoglou‘s appointment, the boss is “desperate” to keep hold of his best players and Forest remain confident they can fend off interested clubs.

Former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Man United are considering signing Anderson, who is high on their list of targets.
The Reds Devils are not the only side interested in the midfielder with a number of elite sides believed to be keeping an eye on his progress.

However, he remains under contract at the City Ground until 2029 and the club are under no pressure to sell, having previously hung on to Morgan Gibbs-White.
Speaking on the Inside Track Podcast, I explained: “It’s a really hard deal to do for Man United.
“He was sold for £35million, and the way he’s going right now, if he continues to impress for club and country in the next 12 months, you’ll see his price double at least.
“Nottingham Forest, and now Postecoglou, don’t want to lose any of their top players.

“He’ll be desperate to keep Anderson if anybody comes knocking for him.
“He’s on a long-term contract at the City Ground until 2029, so Forest are under no pressure to sell.
“He’s on the radar of a lot of clubs, but I don’t think there’s anything imminent on his future and Forest will be more than content to keep him.”
Forest will be boosted in their ambitions of keeping Anderson given his contract situation and Postecoglou’s stance, in a new blow to Man United’s recruitment plans.
Man United have been targeting Anderson as well as a number of other midfielders including Carlos Baleba, Morten Hjulmand and Adam Wharton on their list.
They attempted to strengthen their midfield during the summer transfer window after Ruben Amorim identified the position as a clear area for improvement.
The Nottingham Forest star is now the latest on their list, while Anderson was compared to Paul Scholes following his displays for England.
It was not only fans praising the midfielder, though, as Arsenal star Noni Madueke labelled him “amazing” following England’s win against Andorra.

Now, United have identified him as a potential option to solve their midfield concerns, although the deal looks a difficult one to pull off.
