Bournemouth are readying themselves for heavy interest in winger Antoine Semenyo next summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old is in great form already this season, scoring three goals and picking up two assists in his first four games of the new campaign.

Semenyo was on the radar of Tottenham during the most recent transfer window, and they registered their interest in deal while he has caught the eye of top clubs at home and abroad.

Sources say that Bournemouth are preparing to potentially lose the Ghanaian international next summer, and expect it to be difficult to hold onto their star attacker.

One aspect that works in favour of Andoni Iraola’s side is that Semenyo agreed a new long-term Bournemouth contract over the summer.

The extension keeps the former Bristol City man on the south coast until 2030, and means they can charge a premium to any interested parties.

Semenyo will likely receive transfer attention in the January window, but sources say that there is no chance Bournemouth will let him leave in the middle of the season.

The Cherries do not need the money after a profitable summer window, and would find it hard to replace such an important player.

Bournemouth saw their squad completely ransacked during the summer transfer window, as the spine of their starting lineup was ripped out.

Dean Huijsen completed a move to Real Madrid, with Illia Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez, and Kepa Arrizabalaga also leaving.

It meant that Iraola went into the new campaign having lost his starting goalkeeper from last season, as well as three out of the back four.

However, Bournemouth have started exceptionally well in the Premier League, sitting fourth in the table with three wins from four games.

Their only defeat came against Liverpool, in a match where they pushed the reigning champions all the way, proving they still have the tools to compete among the best despite the abundance of player sales.
