Andy Irving has opened the door to a move away from West Ham as Celtic and Rangers are racing to bring him to Glasgow late in the window.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about the 25-year-old’s potential destination should he leave the London Stadium.
The one-cap Scotland international is keen to play more regular minutes and is expected to jump at the opportunity to play European football this season.
This comes after former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Irving could join Celtic “next week” as they push to agree terms.

Both Brendan Rodgers and Russell Martin remain determined to bolster their squads before the window closes, with Champions League qualification their immediate aim.
West Ham, meanwhile, are prepared to let Irving leave should they receive a decent offer as Potter plans to reinvest the money into his squad.
Former West Ham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in June that Celtic will step up their chase for Irving as they aim to strengthen their midfield this summer.

The Scotland international is viewed as an improvement on their current options while he would also allow for further rotation in the Champions League.
O’Rourke explained that both Celtic and Rangers are exploring the possibility of bringing him back to Scotland, with a deal considered likely.
“A lot will depend on what his role is at West Ham,” he told Football Insider.
“If he finds himself surplus to requirements or a bit-part player at West Ham, I’m sure he could be tempted to make a move to one of the Old Firm clubs.
“Being a Scotland international, it would be a perfect platform for him to go and play regularly and show how good he is.

“He’s been used sparingly at West Ham and not as much as he would have liked under Potter so far.
“There’s a top player in there who wants to be playing regularly at this stage of his career.
“The chance to move to Celtic or Rangers would be very enticing for him, two big clubs with European football on offer as well.
“For West Ham, if they were to get a decent offer for Irving they wouldn’t stand in his way.
“Graham Potter is looking to offload players to allow him to reinvest in the squad.”
Irving is not the only player who could be on his way out of the London Stadium in the closing stages of the transfer window, as Lucas Paqueta’s future remains unclear.
Football Insider revealed on 11 August that Saudi Pro League clubs want to sign Paqueta, while he is also attracting interest from a number of clubs in Brazil.

Man City had also been tipped for a move to sign the midfielder after their original move collapsed in 2023, but they are not considered front-runners.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider that City are unlikely to sign Paqueta having already brought in alternative options earlier this summer.
