Liverpool are favourites to sign Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes this summer, sources have told Football Insider. The Reds are long-term admirers of the 24-year-old midfielder and are ready to move for him at the end of the season despite only joining Wolves last year. Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (17 March) that . move from Sporting Lisbon last summer but the Portugal international has struggled to settle into the Premier League. He has made 29 appearances for Wolves across all competitions but scored and assisted just once for Julen Lopetegui’s side.

It is a stark contrast from his form at Lisbon last season when Nunes appeared in 50 matches throughout the campaign and contributed to nine goals.
