Liverpool have submitted an official offer to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.

The Reds have been the Premier League‘s biggest spenders so far this summer, and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Liverpool signed Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz early in the window and have since added Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giovanni Leoni and Armin Pecsi.

Arne Slot still wants Alexander Isak as well as another centre-back.

Crystal Palace’s Guehi is top of Liverpool’s transfer shortlist with the Premier League champions now on the cusp of bringing him to Anfield.

Pursued for several weeks, the Reds have finally made their move.

According to my sources, Liverpool have offered Palace around £36 million plus £4 million in add-ons — taking the offer to £40 million — a figure the Eagles are looking for.

Guehi has already given Liverpool the green light so things are expected to move quickly from here.

Although there is still some work to get Guehi over the line, Liverpool will almost certainly resume their pursuit of Newcastle United‘s Isak next.

Newcastle are set to sign Nick Woltemade after reaching an agreement worth up to £65 million with Stuttgart.

Woltemade’s impending move to St.

James’ Park is likely to free up Isak’s long-awaited move to Liverpool, with Slot now set to complete a huge summer rebuild.

Liverpool’s owners are ready to made British record transfer offer for Isak, with FSG prepared to pay around £140 million for the Sweden international.
