Nicolas Raskin has made a new decision about his future at Rangers after missing out on a move away during the summer transfer window.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in May that Raskin was wanted by Premier League clubs alongside European giants.
Russell Martin has since revealed the midfielder had been unsettled by the interest during the transfer window and had his head turned by a potential exit.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, I revealed Raskin could walk away in January as his situation remains “uncertain”.
Sources say the Belgium international is keen to fight for his place in the side under Martin, but could leave should he prove unable to win back the boss’ favour.

Raskin was left out of the Rangers squad against Celtic, raising further questions about his future amid suggestions of a falling-out with Martin.
He has since held a meeting with the manager, and it has now been confirmed he will miss out on the matchday squad to face Hearts at Ibrox on 13 September.

As a result, his future remains up in the air and interested clubs are expected to keep a close eye on his situation ahead of a potential mid-season transfer.
Speaking on the Inside Track Podcast, I explained: “He could move on in January, it depends how things work out at Ibrox because it’s been an uncertain time for Raskin.
“He was the subject of much transfer speculation during the summer window and Martin admitted Raskin had been unsettled by the approaches made for his services.
“He’s been left out of a couple of games, was dropped for the Champions League qualifier against Viktoria Plzen and the Old Firm game.
“That’s raised serious question marks about his future.
“He’s keen to stay at the club and win his place back, which will be good news for Rangers.
“But think if he doesn’t break back into that starting line-up and is not playing regularly, he might want to make that move away in January.”
Raskin had been heavily linked with a move away from Ibrox during the summer transfer window, with Premier League and European clubs showing interest.
Football Insider revealed last month that Rangers were bracing to receive offers for Raskin in the closing stages of the window, but he ended up staying at the club.
Recently, while away on international duty with Belgium, the midfielder confessed: “My situation at the club is a bit complicated.
I’m going to go back, do the best I can to sort it out.” [the Sun]

However, it appears little progress has been made towards getting him back in the team with clubs now keeping a close eye on his situation.
The midfielder’s long-term future is still up in their air with a growing feeling he could leave the club in 2026 if his issues at Ibrox aren’t resolved.
