Patrick Bamford is wanted by a number of MLS clubs as he continues to weigh up his next move after leaving Leeds United in August.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about the 32-year-old’s immediate future with clubs in England and across Europe also interested.
Celtic held talks over a potential move for the striker, but ultimately opted to pursue Kelechi Iheanacho following his exit from Sevilla as a free agent.
Football Insider revealed on 5 September that Bamford will join a new club imminently after his talks with the Scottish champions as he looks to get back to playing.
The likes of Wrexham, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth have all been linked with moves for the former England international, whose future remains undecided.
This comes after Football Insider revealed in July that Bamford is open to staying in England or moving abroad amid growing interest in his signature.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in December that Championship clubs want to sign Bamford as he had been open to leaving Leeds.

After Daniel Farke made clear he would not be part of his plans, and his eventual release from his contract, interest is set to accelerate with the transfer window closed.
O’Rourke explained that clubs in the MLS have now joined the race for his signature and could tempt him over to the USA in the closing stages of his career.
“There is interest in Bamford from a few MLS clubs,” he told Football Insider.
“Bamford got paid up and had his contract cancelled at Leeds to allow him to explore his options.
“A lot of clubs maybe who didn’t get the striking reinforcements they needed in the summer transfer window will look at Bamford.

“Bamford is a top player, maybe he wasn’t going to be in the picture for Leeds in the Premier League but he’s proven he can do it in the Championship.
“MLS clubs believe they can tempt him over to America at this stage of his career.
“Whether English clubs make a move, it might depend on any injuries that happen in the coming weeks.
“He’s one of the better free agents in the market right now.
“If any clubs still need a striker, Bamford will be high on their list and I expect his future will be resolved and he will find a new club soon.“
Aside from Bamford’s departure, another player who was key for Leeds during their promotion season and had been linked with a return was Manor Solomon.
However, he ended up joining Villarreal on deadline day after Football Insider revealed on 6 September that Leeds missed out due to the offer of European football.

Farke’s side missed out on deals for Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte and Marseille’s Igor Paixao, but were ultimately snubbed by their former loanee as well.
UEFA Conference League-bound Crystal Palace also made a late move to sign the winger before pulling out of the deal despite submitting a deal sheet.
