Rangers are bracing to receive offers from Nicolas Raskin late in the summer transfer window amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have said about the 24-year-old’s future amid suggestions he may have had his head turned.

Russell Martin revealed that clubs have been in contact with the midfielder leading to uncertainty [via the Sun], but Rangers are determined to keep hold of him.

This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Premier League clubs want to sign Raskin and are keeping tabs on his situation.

The Belgium international was a shining light despite a difficult season last time out, and remains a key part of Martin’s plans despite a slow start.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed in June that Rangers will demand £20million to sell Raskin but would find it difficult to turn down “huge” offers.

Football Insider exclusively revealed in March that Leeds United could sign Raskin with help from 49ers Enterprises after their Ibrox takeover.

The midfielder has also attracted interest from clubs across Europe, adding to the uncertainty about his position at Ibrox, but the club’s stance remains clear.

O’Rourke explained that Rangers have no plans to lose Raskin and will be boosted in their chances of keeping him if they can qualify for the Champions League proper.

“There is interest in Raskin,” he told Football Insider.

“He’s a top player for Rangers and has broken into the Belgium setup, so he’ll want to continue playing at the highest level possible.

“He’s still got a key role at Rangers and losing him would be a huge blow to Russell Martin.

“A lot will depend on whether they can qualify for the league stage of the Champions League.

“They’ve got a real tough test against Club Brugge, and if they were able to get through that it would give them a better chance to keep hold of Raskin.

“There is interest from Premier League clubs and clubs abroad also, so Rangers will be bracing themselves for interest and offers before the end of the window.”

Alongside the interest in Raskin, Rangers are also preparing for late interest in Hamza Igamane, who has been subject to plenty of speculation.

Football Insider revealed on 12 August that Rangers expect to receive offers for Igamane, despite no official bids having been made so far.

Sources say that the interested clubs are waiting for the Moroccan’s £20million asking price to drop before making any formal approaches.

However, Football Insider revealed that Rangers are hoping to spark a bidding war over Igamane in an attempt to drive his price up late in the window.
