Tottenham have identified two alternative options if they fail in their pursuit of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers, sources have told Football Insider.

The North London side are in the market for attacking options after James Maddison suffered an ACL injury that will rule him out for the majority of the season.

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Tottenham are in preliminary talks to sign Rogers, and hope to take advantage of Villa’s PSR issues to secure a cut-price deal.

However, sources say that if Spurs are unable to sign the England international, they could accelerate moves for Nico Paz from Como or Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

Despite the fact that Paz and Rodrygo are on Tottenham’s shortlist, Thomas Frank’s side will find both deals difficult to pull off.

Real Madrid and Como are demanding high transfer fees for the wingers, which could prevent any potential move from happening.

To make matters worse for Spurs, Los Blancos themselves are interested in re-signing Paz, a player they sold to Como 12 months ago.

Meanwhile, West Ham are exploring a move for axed Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma in the final week of the transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Bissouma was a key player for Hammers boss Graham Potter during his time with Brighton before he joined Spurs for £25m in 2022.

Bissouma, 28, failed to make the Tottenham squad for their opening two matches of the Premier League campaign, including Saturday’s landmark win over Man City.

Now, West Ham have registered their interest in a late-window deal with both permanent and loan options possibilities.
