Wrexham forward Jake Bickerstaff has agreed a deal to join Cheltenham Town, sources have told Football Insider.
He has been given the green light to head to the League Two club to complete a season-long loan move, having spent the 2024/25 campaign with Altrincham.
With Sam Smith arriving at the SToK Cae Ras during the winter window, and Ryan Hardie signing from Plymouth Argyle, Phil Parkinson has several attacking stars at his disposal.
Bickerstaff, however, spent last season on loan in the National League, notching three goals and two assists in 33 appearances for Altrincham, not playing a single game for Wrexham since January 2024.
While the jump up to League Two will be difficult for the 23-year-old striker, Wrexham‘s promotion to the Championship has left the Welsh side with little choice over Bickerstaff’s options.
Alongside George Miller, Jordan Thomas, and Ethon Archer, there will be plenty of opportunities for the loanee to impress manager Michael Flynn during the 2025/26 campaign.

The 44-year-old has been in charge since May 2024, so far managing to win 22 of his 55 games.
The Robins will be fighting to secure promotion back to League One, having been relegated during the 2023/24 campaign, but Flynn’s side could only finish 15th in the league table last term.
Wrexham have gone from strength to strength over the last few seasons, becoming the first team in history to complete three consecutive promotions under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
In a bid to survive the dropzone, Football Insider understands that Wrexham have submitted a bid for Conor Coady, who is of serious interest to Scottish Premiership giants Rangers.

Mick Brown told Football Insider that Wrexham could also move for Patrick Bamford following Daniel Farke’s admission that the striker is no longer in his plans at Elland Road.
Another forward signing would make matters even more difficult for Bickerstaff to fight at the SToK Cae Ras, and so a move to League Two Cheltenham appears to be the best plan for the 23-year-old.
