Spanish police are said to be preparing an update in the next couple of days on the car crash that claimed the lives of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva.

The siblings tragically died following a road incident in the early hours of Thursday morning in northern Spain, which caused the vehicle to swerve off the road, leaving Liverpool, Portugal and the soccer world in mourning.

The 28-year-old married his teenage sweetheart Rute Cardoso just 11 days before the fatal crash, and tragically leaves behind three children.
