It’s never easy to loan out a young player with big potential.
But sometimes, it’s the right move.
Liverpool fans saw that happen last summer when Stefan Bajcetic left for more minutes elsewhere.
Some were surprised.
Why send out a player who fits the profile the team clearly needed?
At the time, Arne Slot had doubts.
Bajcetic wasn’t fully ready, especially after a tricky start to the season with RB Salzburg.
But the January switch to Las Palmas has changed things.
The Spaniard is now turning heads in La Liga – and fans are watching closely again.
Against Getafe on Saturday, Bajcetic played the full 90 minutes and helped Las Palmas to their first win since he joined.
His performance didn’t go unnoticed in Spain.
The local press had plenty to say, and it was all glowing.
“Bajcetic could be a starting midfielder for any team in the League,” said Javi Rolan.
Diego Otero was just as impressed, “Superb performance by Stefan Bajcetic at the Coliseum.”
“Back in midfield, he has shown his talent: vision, understanding of the game, and dedication.”
Jonay Amaro praised both his quality and character.
“Stefan Bajcetic should be a fixture at UD Las Palmas,” he said.
“Physically, he’s a bull, even though we see him as a bit of a worm.
He has judgment and maturity, despite his youth.”
The reaction from Spain will be hard to ignore at Anfield.
Bajcetic still has to prove himself at Liverpool.
But with games like this, he is doing everything right.
The big question now – do Liverpool bring him back into the squad, or go into the market again?
Either way, Bajcetic has earned a serious look.
