The Spirit of Shankly (SOS), a Liverpool supporters group, presented a gift to Jurgen Klopp on Thursday.

The gesture came days after Klopp passionately defended Trent Alexander-Arnold at the LFC Foundation Gala Ball last week Friday.

Klopp delivered a speech addressing the recent booing of Alexander-Arnold by some fans following the right-back’s decision to join Real Madrid.

“I couldn’t have been more disappointed,” Klopp said about the Real Madrid player’s reception against Arsenal earlier this month.

Two days later, Klopp joined 57,000 fans at Anfield to watch Arne Slot’s squad lift the Premier League trophy after a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

The occasion marked his first public appearance at the stadium since leaving in 2024.

And now the SOS have revealed that they have gifted Jurgen Klopp custom 18-inch bronze statue of himself, crafted by renowned sculptor Andy Edwards.

The design, based on a photo from Klopp’s final away match at Villa Park, captures his iconic celebratory fist pump.

The statue is made from bronze and stands 18 inch high.

Andy Edwards, who sculptured the bronze artwork, said:

“It has been hugely enjoyable to work with Spirit of Shankly and Castle Fine Ars Foundry in producing this heartfelt tribute from the fans.”

“Jurgen is a true icon of the modern game who breathed new confidence and renewed winning mentality into this city.

It’s a well-deserved tribute and an honour for me to have been a part.”

SOS chairman Paul Khan added:

“The statue was given to Jurgen to recognise the work of a great man, our most charismatic manager since Shanks himself.”

“It wasn’t for the trophies or the great days and nights he gave us, although we will always be eternally grateful for those, it was gifted to him because he got us: — our culture and our politics, and we got him?

Jurgen gave us back the most important thing you can have: belief.”

As for the Liverpool legend’s reaction to receiving the sculpture, he accepted with his “trademark smile”.
