Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic is attracting interest from several clubs after a successful loan spell at Las Palmas.

The 20-year-old is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury and could miss the Reds’ pre-season.

He was absent last Sunday as Arne Slot’s side secured a 3-1 win over Preston North End.

Bajcetic suffered the injury during the Spanish side’s defeat to Sevilla back in May.

He now faces a race against time to be available for pre-season.

This is another setback in a difficult few years for Bajcetic since his breakthrough campaign during the 2022/23 season.

Bajcetic made 19 appearances in midfield for the senior team before, in March 2023, picking up an injury that sidelined him for the rest of the campaign.

He racked up only two appearances in the next 14 months after his comeback was cut short by a calf problem.

The highly-rated midfielder featured in pre-season under new head coach Slot before being sent on loan to Red Bull Salzburg.

However, after former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders was sacked, Bajectic saw his stay in Austria cut short before joining Las Palmas, who suffered relegation from La Liga.

He made 19 appearances during a loan spell in Austria with Salzburg in the first half of the next campaign.

Bajcetic was recalled to the Spain under-21 side, but his hamstring operation saw him miss the UEFA European U21 Championships.

According to ESPN, Real Betis, Valencia, and Rayo Vallecano are all interested in Stefan Bajcetic.
