Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “If they really have done eight times the sales from the first week of just the home kit, this is transformational because you would think that they would be seeing similar uplifts from the away kit as well.

If that’s true, and they really have done eight times the revenue from just a home kit, then we are in store for Liverpool to become the biggest sellers of kit by a mile.

“I mean, we’re talking about one home kit.

We’re talking about just the home kit, according to the press release.

“That just is not plausible.”
