Manchester United’s ongoing “crisis” is having an impact on the commercial operations at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim’s side picked up their first victory of the season following Bruno Fernandes’s injury-time penalty in the 3-2 win over Burnley on Saturday (30 August).
It comes at a time when Man United are facing several sponsorship issues, having missed out on European football after finishing 15th in the Premier League table last season.
Under the terms of their kit manufacturer deal with Adidas, Man United have been deducted £10million from their £90million-a-year agreement after failing to qualify for the Champions League.

Man United are also currently without a training kit partner after their £20million-plus deal with Tezos came to an end this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the commercial impact of Man United’s on-field performances, Borson said: “I think it’s cumulative and it’s slow in terms of the impact.
“Quite how much impact it has, we’ll have to see.”
