Rangers’ new owners could be ready to take a transfer “gamble” as the club’s Champions League hopes hang by a thread.
Russell Martin is already under pressure at Ibrox after failing to win any of his opening three Scottish Premiership games in charge at Rangers.
Meanwhile, the Glasgow side lost 3-1 to Club Brugge in their Champions League play-off round first leg, with the second leg taking place in Belgium on Wednesday (27 August).
Rangers would be in line for a significant windfall if they manage to turn things around against Club Brugge and qualify for the Champions League.

“Then it’s all going to fall into place because we’re going to be in the Champions League.
“Obviously, it now looks very hard for Rangers, and Celtic probably feel more confident.”
