Steven Gerrard visited Anfield on Friday morning (July 11) to pay his respects to Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva.
The legendary Liverpool captain was accompanied by members of the Steven Gerrard Academy as he attended the memorial site in honour of the brothers outside the Main Stand.
Jota was killed in a car crash along with his brother on July 3 after their vehicle veered off the road following a tyre blowout.
They had been travelling across Spain to catch a ferry to return to the United Kingdom ahead of the start of the Reds' pre-season.
The pair were laid to rest last Saturday (July 5) with the majority of the Liverpool squad in attendance for Jota and Silva’s funeral in their hometown of Gondomar.

Arne Slot, Andy Robertson and Cody Gakpo have also visited the site this week, along with FSG CEO Michael Edwards, Liverpool FC CEO Billy Hogan and former Reds midfielder Adam Lallana.
Liverpool legend John Aldridge has also visited the site to lay a floral tribute on behalf of Forever Reds, the club's official former players association, and LFC Women's Gemma Bonner and Grace Fisk.
Meanwhile, former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson had previously made his own personal visit to Anfield last Friday (July 4) to lay flowers and a scarf amongst the tributes outside the stadium in honour of Jota.
He also signed the club’s book of condolences prior to travelling to Portugal with his former team-mates for Jota’s funeral.
Everton manager David Moyes and his assistant, Alan Irvine, also laid flowers in honour of Jota as they paid their own respects to the Portuguese on Saturday (July 5).
