Gerrard was the first to comment after his daughter revealed her exciting baby news earlier this year as he said: "We cant wait.

Great news and congratulations we love you."

Mum Alex took to the comments and said: "Can’t wait." Lexie also took to the comments as she posted on the social media platform: "Can’t wait to be a auntie."

Lilly and her partner, Lee Byrne, have been dating for over two years; the two confirmed their relationship in 2022 with a series of pictures from time together in Ibiza, Spain.

In a post uploaded by the 21-year-old to Instagram Stories this afternoon, a special message from Liverpool Football Club to the Gerrard family was shown on top of a wrapped gift.

The message read: "Dear Steven and family, congratulations on the arrival of baby Lila Grey.

With love and best wishes from all at Liverpool Football Club xx." Lilly posted the photo alongside two red heart emojis.

Inside the wrapped gift were plenty of baby products, including a huge white teddy bear, grey slipper socks, white roses, and a heart plaque that read "Dream Big Little One", Lilly posted "Thank you @Liverpoolfc."

Gerrard made 504 Premier League appearances for Liverpool, scoring 120 top-flight goals.
