Man United will likely benefit from a season without European football and could make waves in the Premier League in the 2025/26 campaign.
That is according to former England and Southampton star Matt Le Tissier, who told Football Insider exclusively he had faith in Ruben Amorim turning things around after a difficult start to life in Manchester.
The Portuguese boss arrived at Old Trafford in November 2024, filling the void left after Erik ten Hag was sacked by Man United.
Amorim arrived after four successful years in Lisbon, leading Sporting CP to their first league title in 20 years in his first season.

But things did not go to plan with the Red Devils finishing 15th and losing the Europa League title to Tottenham.
However, Man United have spent heavily this summer on players who fit Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system and are planning on making further additions before the transfer window closes in September.

Speaking to Football Insider, Le Tissier previously predicted Liverpool to win the Premier League title, with Man City finishing as runners-up, whilst Arsenal and Chelsea round out his top four.
And the Premier League legend believes that Amorim will have a good second season as Man United boss.
Whilst many may expect Aston Villa, Newcastle, or even Tottenham to claim the final spot in the top five, Le Tissier told Football Insider exclusively that following a full pre-season, the Red Devils will surprise many and claim a fifth-place finish.

Alejandro Garnacho is another player who has fallen out with Amorim, as the winger was displeased to be left out of the starting XI for the Europa League final and is expected to move on this summer.
The Argentine winger is desperate to secure a move to Chelsea, and MailOnline report that the 21-year-old is willing to sit on United’s bench until an exit to the capital is arranged.
