Liverpool’s search for a new striker has taken a fresh twist, with reports from Italy suggesting the club have offered a bold two-player swap deal to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

According to Sportmediaset via reports by Tutto Mercato Web, the Reds have proposed Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa in exchange for the Nigerian forward, who is expected to leave Naples this summer.

This approach comes as Arne Slot looks to reshape his attacking options for the 2025/26 season.

Osimhen, 26, recently returned to Napoli after a loan spell at Galatasaray but is unlikely to remain at the club under new manager Antonio Conte.

The report claims the former Spurs boss may be open to the idea of adding both Nunez and Chiesa to bolster his squad.

Nunez is expected to leave Anfield and Chiesa has already hinted at a return to Italy.

Meanwhile, Luis Diaz has confirmed ongoing discussions with other clubs, including rejected interest from Barcelona.

The report suggests Napoli would accept offers in the region of €75 million (£64m) and Liverpool’s proposed package could shift the dynamic in their favour.
