Fans will be eager to see Liverpool’s new signings in action later today as Liverpool begin their pre-season with a game against Preston North End.

This is due to the permanent official shirt numbers for the new players not being confirmed later this summer, as a result of Liverpool entering a change of sponsorship this summer.
Liverpool will enter a new era when it comes to their kit manufacturer from August 1st, as they switch from Nike to Adidas.
Because of this, Liverpool’s newest recruits will have to wait until then for their squad number to be confirmed, as there is no need to give them their number now whilst they play in last season’s kit.
