Liverpool are usually smooth operators in the transfer market and some of the fees they receive for players are nothing short of sensational.
The Reds have become synonymous in recent years with getting a good amount of profit for players that have been somewhat made redundant, giving the club plenty of money to work with for new acquisitions.
Although incomings have been slow at Liverpool over recent years, this summer has started at full speed, with the hierarchy looking to get their business done early.
Jeremie Frimpong has already joined Liverpool and Florian Wirtz could arrive soon, although some players may need to leave in order to fund such a big move.
Attackers have especially been linked with exits, with this the area that will likely see the biggest overhaul.
As rumours continue to swirl over a number of the Liverpool squad, Luis Diaz appears to be edging nearer to the exit door and to Saudi Arabia.

Diaz has been a revelation since he joined Liverpool and it is no surprise to see him linked with a move away, but at 28, a move to Saudi Arabia would be a shock given that he is wanted by many big European clubs.
However, speaking on talkSPORT, journalist Ben Jacobs believes that Liverpool would consider selling to Al Nassr if the right offer comes in, but this deal could take some time to complete.
“Al Nassr want Luis Diaz, he is their top target, they believe €85m [£72m] will be good enough and I do think at that number Liverpool might be tempted to sell,” says Jacobs.

“That is one to watch, not necessarily the 1st of June as Al Nassr are not in the Club World Cup so they don’t need to worry about forcing it through in the next 10 days.”
With the Club World Cup starting on June 15th, Saudi clubs are trying to speed up the process of signing players and giving them deadlines to accept, but as Al Nassr are not in the competition, this saga could be stretched over a long period of time.

This could also be drawn out further as Diaz’s move depends on Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision and whether he signs a new contract or not, although Arne Slot still wants to keep Diaz as he is one of his star men.
At 28 years old, ‘Lucho’ is about to hit his prime and it is no surprise Barcelona are interested in signing Diaz after his best Liverpool season to date, netting 13 goals in the Premier League.
The Reds are willing to offer the Colombian a new contract but the Spanish giants want him to force Liverpool’s hand and allow him to leave, just like they did with Raphinha a couple of years ago.
However, a move to Saudi appears more likely and Diaz would be reunited at Al Nassr with Sadio Mane while providing Liverpool with a decent amount of profit.
Receiving a higher transfer fee and not selling to a direct Champions League rival, Liverpool would perhaps rather sell him to the Kingdom, but it has also been claimed that Liverpool’s preference remains to keep hold of Diaz.
