Nottingham Forest supporters have been left ecstatic by the news that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have signed Arnaud Kalimuendo.
The striker’s presence could lead to Taiwo Awoniyi leaving Nottingham Forest, having joined the City Ground side in 2022.
Meanwhile, Kalimuendo performed well for Rennes in Ligue 1 last season, notching 18 goals and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
The 23-year-old’s performances in France suggest that he could be ready for the challenge posed by the Premier League.
Forest have enjoyed a largely successful summer transfer window, even though former star Anthony Elanga joined Newcastle United.
Elanga was a key man for the East Midlands side last term, scoring six goals and producing 11 assists in 38 Premier League outings.
Meanwhile, Forest got their Premier League season underway in impressive fashion, via a 3-1 win over Brentford on Sunday, 17 August.

Prolific striker and established City Ground favourite Chris Wood notched a brace, with goals on either side of Dan Ndoye’s debut strike.
Espirito Santo‘s men will look to make it two wins from two in the top flight, when they travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday, 24 August.
Nottingham Forest could hand recent recruit Omari Hutchinson his debut for the East Midlands side when they take on Palace, while their best piece of business this summer arguably came when they gave Morgan Gibbs-White a new contract, despite the interest in his services from Tottenham.
The attacking midfielder showcased his talent once again against Brentford, creating an assist for new boy Ndoye.
Meanwhile, Kalimuendo could provide Wood with competition, as well as helping Nottingham Forest succeed in the Europa League.

Kalimuendo could make his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace on Sunday, but will likely start on the substitutes’ bench due to Wood’s presence.
Meanwhile, after Forest announced his signature via X on Monday, 18 August, one supporter commented: “For every fan around the country who wants to see Forest relegated.
Our latest signing will only see your already faint hopes of that happening vanish completely.
“Welcome to Forest Arnuad.
