The Football Association has officially announced the 2025 FA Community Shield fixture, setting the traditional curtain-raiser for the upcoming English football season.

Crystal Palace earned their place in the Community Shield by capturing the 2024-25 FA Cup, beating Manchester City 1–0 in the final at Wembley to secure the club’s first major trophy in its 119-year history.

This year’s match will see the FA Cup winners face the Premier League champions in Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 10 August, with kick-off slated for 3 pm BST.

For the first time in four editions, the Community Shield will be held behind a pay-TV barrier, with TNT Sports 1 securing exclusive live coverage as confirmed by the FA.
