'The club is working': Liverpool player's agent drops exciting hint about what could happen this summer

Liverpool have had one of their biggest summers in their history but things might not be over just yet.

Reds fans might not be able to believe their eyes as not only has their club spent some money, but they have spent a lot of it and on some of Europe’s elite.

Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and, in particular, Florian Wirtz, have made Liverpool a serious force to be reckoned with, giving Arne Slot plenty of options for the new season.

The midfield is an area that will perhaps give him a headache due to the quality in depth that he has at his disposal, but it is certainly a dilemma that most would love to have.

Dominik Szoboszlai is one player especially who will hope that his manager still gives him plenty of game time, something that seems like it will be hard to come by.

However, the Hungarian’s agent may have dropped a hint about what might be about to happen this summer and it suggests he may want to fight for his place ahead of an exciting future at Anfield.

Liverpool appear to be building a super team and it looks like one that could last quite a while given just how young most of the players are.

However, young does not mean inexperienced and the Reds’ new signings, alongside most of the other players in the squad, have a wealth of knowledge already and look set to hit the ground running.

At 24, Szoboszlai is a player with plenty of experience under his belt and will look forward to fighting for his place next season, but his agent may have suggested that new signings are on the way so he may have to fight a little harder.

“I haven’t thought about Dominik’s career for quite some time.

He has reached the point where he was a decisive member of the team that won the Premier League,” Szoboszlai’s agent told Hungarian outlet M4 Sport.

“The club is working on very significant developments, they want to be more and more successful.”

The Reds have already spent just under £200m but they do not look finished just yet, with this subtle hint suggesting that they already have big plans in the works.

Their business is almost concluded, in terms of incomings that is, but there are still two positions that look set for a revamp this summer; a striker and a centre-back.

Starting with the latter, the defence is an area that could see a huge change, with Jarell Quansah set to leave for Bayer Leverkusen, while Ibrahima Konate could be sold due to reports suggesting that he might leave for free next summer.

Marc Guehi is a top target for Liverpool and appears the most likely to join out of all the candidates, although Crystal Palace will need to reduce their asking price if the Reds were to make a move.

As for a striker, the race is still wide open and there are a number of players linked, with Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen the most likely.

The Reds could quite easily spend close to another £200m this summer and big plans might be ready soon, suggesting the next few months could be just as exciting as the last few for Liverpool fans.
