Liverpool’s coaching staff have a desire that will have a huge impact on how the club conducts its transfer this summer.

The Reds are poised for one of their busiest summer transfer windows in recent memory, with widespread reports indicating significant squad reinforcements as Arne Slot aims to build on their Premier League triumph.

The club’s hierarchy, determined to avoid the stagnation that followed their 2019/20 title, is reportedly ready to back Slot with substantial funds to fend off resurgent rivals Manchester City and Arsenal.

After clinching the Premier League title, Liverpool are set to receive an estimated £176 million in prize money, topping the league’s merit payments for the 2024/25 season25.

On top of this, the club will secure an additional £2 million bonus from current kit supplier Nike.

And according to Latty, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are expected to seize this moment of success, with plans to leverage the financial windfall to strengthen the squad and further grow the club’s commercial profile to contribute to on-field success.

The Telegraph gave a clue of the extent the club will back Arne Slot, revealing that the manager will be granted “one of Liverpool’s biggest-ever summer transfer budgets,” with FSG prepared to table bids in the region of £100+ for targets they want as shown by the Moises Caicedo bid in the summer of 2023.

The Premier League confirmed the summer transfer window will open briefly from June 1–10 (aligning with the FIFA Club World Cup) before resuming June 16–September 1?

This staggered timeline allows Liverpool to act swiftly in a market where key targets are already identified.

However, while money is likely not going to be a problem, Arne Slot and his assistants are not going to spend for the sake of it, as they want to keep the squad size similar to what they currently have.

This is according to Sports Mail’s Lewis Steel, who revealed that the club’s “coaching staff want to work with a similar number in their first-team group again,” meaning that “for every incoming, there will be one outgoing.”

The journalist made this revelation while answering questions regarding those he felt would leave the club this summer.

Steele named Caoimhin Kelleher, Kostas Tsimikas, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliott, and a couple of youngsters as players who will potentially leave the club this summer.
