Mohamed Salah has been one of Liverpool’s best players for some time now.

The Egyptian King managed to turn his career around massively at Anfield, with his previous Premier League stint with Chelsea not ending up as he’d have wanted it to.

In the 2024-25 season, for example, Salah was the best player in the top flight by a country mile, with the winger getting the most goals and the most assists of all the other players in the division.

So, when he has to leave Merseyside for a month or so to take part in the African Cup of Nations, it usually hits the Reds hard.

And, now that the fixtures have been released for the 2025-26 season, Liverpool fans can find out which games their star men will miss if Egypt make it to the AFCON final.

The first game of the African Cup of Nations will take place on 21 December, with the final taking place just under a month later on 18 January.

Throughout this period, Liverpool will play six Premier League games, with others likely to be added once the cup competitions get laid out.

Liverpool’s game against Tottenham on 20 December will be the first one the attacker misses.

Then, the last of the lot will come against Burnley on 17 January, that is, if Egypt make it all the way, of course.

The other four games Salah will miss come against Wolves (27 December), Leeds United (30 December), Fulham (3 January), and Arsenal (7 January).

Of the six Premier League fixtures that Salah could end up missing, the game against the Gunners looks to be the hardest one on paper.

Mikel Arteta led his team to a second-placed finish in the top flight last term and will no doubt be looking to come away with the title this time around.
