A number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise Paul Glatzel for his latest impressive display for the Reds Under-23s.

Despite the frustrating result and the controversial refereeing decisions, Liverpool fans were delighted with Glatzel’s performance, praising him on social media.

In addition, the Reds finished the game with nine men after Tyler Morton – who replaced Glatzel – was sent off for two bookable offences.

Liverpool suffered an early setback as Morgan Boyes was controversially sent off for a last-man challenge in the eighth minute.

However, Glatzel has suffered a number of injuries which have curtailed his step up to Liverpool’s first team.

Kasey McAteer went on to equalise for Leicester, but their lead lasted for just a few minutes as Glatzel won a penalty, which Ben Woodburn converted.

The 20-year-old is one of the most highly rated youngsters to come through the Anfield ranks in recent years.
