Eddie Howe has confirmed a crushing new blow to Jacob Ramsey’s availability at Newcastle United.
Yoane Wissa is set to miss the clash against Wolves, having joined the Magpies from Brentford following an entire transfer saga, which also saw Alexander Isak join Liverpool for a British record fee.
In the same press conference, Howe also confirmed that the 24-year-old winger, who joined from Aston Villa earlier this summer, is set to miss up to a month with a new ankle injury.
Ramsey has a history of injury setbacks at Villa, so it is no surprise to see the player sidelined yet again, and these are the games that he is likely to miss after the frustrating news from St James’ Park.
Of course, with Newcastle welcoming Wolves to St James’ Park on Saturday, 13 September, the 24-year-old is certainly not going to be available.
Then, he will miss home clashes against Barcelona in the Champions League and Bradford City in the Carabao Cup, with an away trip to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth sandwiched in between.

Just last season, Ramsey missed 10 matches through injury for the Villans, so with the new signing already picking up a setback, it spells bad news for Newcastle’s £43million investment [Sky Sports].
Even without Wissa and Ramsey, Howe will still feel confident that his side can get their first Premier League victory of the campaign, having drawn twice and lost once so far.
The former Bournemouth has yet to lose to the Old Gold during his tenure at St James’ Park, but Jorgen Strand Larsen will have a point to prove for Wolves after failing to join the Magpies this summer.
