This summer has already seen big moves across the Premier League.

Liverpool, for instance, have secured exciting signings in Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, strengthening their squad.

However, they aren’t done yet, with defensive reinforcements high on their agenda.

One player who has become a significant target for Liverpool is Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, a 24-year-old England defender.

But Liverpool are not alone in the chase for Guehi, as several top clubs are keen to secure his services ahead of next season.

Guehi, whose contract with Palace expires next year, reportedly has no plans to sign an extension.

Liverpool have long admired Guehi, and his Premier League experience, coupled with his homegrown status, makes him an attractive option.

However, with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate currently their first-choice centre-backs, Guehi may not have an immediate starting role at Anfield.

Still, his familiarity with Premier League football could help him adapt quickly to Arne Slot’s system.

Palace may be willing to negotiate a transfer fee in the £40–45 million range to avoid the risk of losing him for free, according to DaveOCKOP’s report.

Newcastle, despite their failed attempt to land Guehi last summer, remain a contender.

They could make another bid after qualifying for the Champions League, with their ageing centre-back options making Guehi a good fit for their squad.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is also on the lookout for a defensive partner for Micky van de Ven, particularly if they sell Cristian Romero, who has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid.
