The links between Ruben Amorim and Liverpool are getting stronger by the day.
The Reds are having a tough time on the pitch over the last few weeks, but they are still determined to finish the season as strongly as they possibly can.
Jurgen Klopp would love nothing more than to win the Premier League title in his final season in charge, but as things stand, Manchester City are the favourites to go all the way.
The focus of those behind the scenes, however, is on who to bring in as Liverpool‘s new manager, and Amorim appears to be the favourite for that role.

It is clear as day now that Ruben Amorim is one of the names on Liverpool’s shortlist to replace Jurgen Klopp.
The German announced nearly three months ago that he will be leaving the club, but there’s no agreement with any manager about succeeding him just yet.
Reports have revealed that Liverpool have offered a three-year contract to Amorim and are very keen to see him move to Anfield this summer.
However, a report from Portugal yesterday struck some fear in Liverpool fans.
It was claimed that Sporting Lisbon president Federico Varandas is still hopeful of convincing Amorim to stay at the Estadio Jose Alvalade for another season.
The report suggested that the idea of Sporting having Champions League football next term could be enough to persuade the 39-year-old to stay.
Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda has reacted to those claims today, and in what is good news for Liverpool fans, he has revealed that ‘there is no chance’ Amorim will stay at Sporting beyond the end of this season.
Amorim will leave Sporting at the end of the season.
“Amorim is number 1 target of @LFC and he likes the project.”

Ruben Amorim appears to be the number one target for Liverpool, but the Reds have alternatives.
After what happened with Xabi Alonso, it would be silly for Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes to put all their eggs in one basket.
A number of names have been linked with the Liverpool job over the last few months, and a new one that emerged a few days ago is now said to be a genuine contender.
