Diogo Jota, Ibrahima Konante and Curtis Jones are among a plethora of key absentees.
Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson was also seen nursing an issue in the first half, although he was able to carry on.
Manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping Thiago's issue is not serious, as the Reds have been contending with a number injury problems.
The Spain international was seen holding his thigh after a coming together and he was attended to on the field by Reds medical staff before the decision was made to withdraw him from the action.
However, his time with the club has been consistently punctured by injury issues.
