Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez is on the verge of a move to Liverpool.
Kerkez has been a long-term target for the Premier League champions as they aim to strengthen in multiple departments this summer including the left-back position.
The Hungary international will provide fresh competition for Andy Robertson, who is currently attracting interest from Atletico Madrid, and Kostas Tsimikas at Anfield.
A deal worth in the region of £40 million is set to be struck by the Reds, whose sporting director Richard Hughes arrived from the South Coast club last summer.
Kerkez is expected to pen a five-year contract with Arne Slot’s side, where he will reunite with international teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, during the coming days.
His arrival will see Liverpool’s summer spending surpass the £150M barrier with Florian Wirtz’s club-record switch for an initial £100M anticipated this weekend.
Wirtz will join former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong, who signed for £29M, in making the move to Merseyside as the club’s intent is firmly stamped.
