Liverpool are all set for a memorable weekend as the Premier League trophy lift is followed by a bank holiday Monday parade.
Reds supporters have waited 35 long years for a championship party and they are hardly about to let it go to waste.
On top of the excitement and the celebrations, though, Liverpool fans could also be toasting a brand new signing this weekend.
Liverpool have reached an agreement with Florian Wirtz over a transfer from Bayer Leverkusen after exciting news broke on Friday night.
It was a manic evening for Reds fans, who couldn’t quite believe the deal their club look likely to pull off.
With Liverpool moving quickly to get Wirtz wrapped up, journalist Fabrizio Romano has offered a Saturday morning update on what the next steps will be.

Although Liverpool reportedly have an agreement in place with Wirtz, they must now negotiate a transfer fee with Bayer Leverkusen.
There have been suggestions that Leverkusen may give Liverpool a slight discount over Wirtz, but the fee is still expected to surpass £100m.

In any case, Romano says he expects things to move quickly, taking to his YouTube channel on Saturday morning to provide an outline of what will happen next in this mega deal.
“The agreement between Wirtz and Liverpool is ready.
From what I’m told, yesterday night, contact club-to-club between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen.
The official bid is coming, let’s see in the next hours but it’s more than concrete.”

“Wirtz has communicated that his intention is to go to Liverpool, a very clear message after taking his time.
Liverpool wanted to respect the player, a really important part of the story.
“Liverpool are in contact with Bayer Leverkusen to close the deal as soon as possible,” Romano adds.
“I’m not expecting a long saga, a long negotiation, I’m expecting Liverpool to get Frimpong and then Wirtz soon.
“That’s the message, waiting for the ‘here we go’ to happen soon, that’s my feeling.”
By the sounds of things, Liverpool are moving very quickly indeed to head off the threat of a late hijack in this deal.
With Leverkusen seemingly accepting that the player wants the move, the only stumbling block appears to be the final fee.
Given the German side have made little secret that Wirtz is available for a big price this summer, Liverpool should know full well what they’re getting themselves into.
As a result, it does not appear that negotiations will last too long at all.
