Celtic’s board have been handed a stark warning that fans will continue to protest until there’s change.
The Celtic board responded to a letter from supporters, which attacked the club’s transfer window and lack of ambition.
The club statement has been slammed by supporters and Celtic fans have set plans in place to protest at matches and boycott Europa League games.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers could walk, amid a lack of support during the transfer window, with a return to the Premier League a possibility.

Chris Sutton, as per the Daily Record [12 September], called Celtic’s summer of transfer activity as “a slow moving train wreck,” and described the board’s statement as “haughty and ill-judged.”
Whilst there have been protests at Celtic before, Sutton believes it “feels different” this time around.
“The problem they now have is I don’t see this going away.
The wheels are already in motion with boycotts and protests and the like.
“The club will release their annual accounts in a few weeks and if and when they announce there’s an even greater pile of money in the bank it will undoubtedly blow up again.
“The Europa League isn’t going to be any salvation with people looking forward to this competition like a trip to the dentist.
“The empty seats will send a message but that’s the issue for the people in charge at Celtic now.
“It’s hard to see how the fan unrest is going to force change in the boardroom but if there is to be any way back for them they have to show they are listening.
“Actions have to be louder than words.”
Celtic’s strong financial position means there could be little supporters can do to oust the board.
There home match against Hibernian later in the month will be the first overriding indicator at true fans unrest, and whether league matches are also boycotted by some alongside Europa League fixtures.

The board will be well aware of the anger in the terraces, and it will be up to them whether any change happens.
In the short-term little will change, and Celtic have to deal with the fact they have not qualified for the Champions League and Rodgers is left with a squad weakened from the previous campaign.
