Thomas Frank has revealed his stance on Bayern Munich star Harry Kane making a stunning return to Tottenham.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed a prolific start to the new Bundesliga season, notching eight goals and three assists in just four top-flight appearances, while Vivienne Lewis will be key to whether Kane returns to Spurs.

Largely thanks to the England striker’s efforts, Bayern sit top of the Bundesliga, with a 100 per cent winning record.

Kane has more Champions League goal involvements than any other Englishman, with 42 goals and 11 assists, after notching a brace against Chelsea on Wednesday, 17 September.

Tottenham drew 2-2 with Brighton in their last Premier League game on Saturday, 20 September, and consequently sit third in the top flight.

Frank has enjoyed a strong start to life in the Spurs dugout, but there is no doubt that his side would be even better with a prolific striker like Kane.

Meanwhile, speaking about Kane’s possible return to Tottenham, Frank said: “I think there’s a lot of Tottenham fans including myself who would like to see Kane back.

“If Harry wants to join us, he’s more than welcome.”

Kane currently sits second on the Premier League’s list of goalscorers, having notched 213 goals in the English top flight, while Newcastle United icon Alan Shearer sits first on 260.

A major motivating factor behind Kane’s potential return to Spurs next summer is that he still has time to break Shearer’s record.

At the age of 32, though, the England ace will have to make his decision quickly, while he turns 33 in July.

After winning the Europa League under Ange Postecoglou last season, Tottenham will be hungry to win more silverware under Frank.

Kane’s previous goalscoring exploits for Spurs, as well as his current form for both Bayern and the Three Lions, suggest that he can inspire the North Londoners to a historic feat.

For now, Frank is vying to ensure that his side avoid an EFL cup upset against Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday, 24 September, before continuing their Premier League campaign with a victory over Wolves on Saturday, 27 September.
