There is a lot of excitement among Liverpool fans to see Florian Wirtz line up for Liverpool in the Premier League and Champions League for the club.
Florian Wirtz is currently the club’s record signing; however, this could change should they acquire Alexander Isak.
While there is excitement to see how all the new signings for Liverpool get on, it probably does not match the level expected for Wirtz.
The German international has been one of the most sought-after talents across Europe, being pivotal to Bayer Leverkusen’s title victory.

However, while he has demonstrated his ability at both the international and domestic levels to this point, the German is worried ahead of the new campaign.
Wirtz is arguably one of the best technical players in Europe, with his ability to create and finish chances.
His control of the ball is something to be admired; however, the Premier League has famously been regarded as a physical league that rewards those players who are fitter and stronger.
It is up to the more technically gifted players to adapt and improve this element, and it is something Wirtz has thought about ahead of the season, as he spoke to the club website.

He said: “I have not played a match in the Premier League, but I am looking forward to it, and that is why I came.

“To be honest, I don’t know [how it will be].
There will be some differences to the German league, but I think that is also something I can learn and make me better, so I am really looking forward to it.
“They tell me it’s more intense and more physical; every player is really strong, really fast.
That is what everybody is telling me, and I’m aware of that.
“The big challenge is to take the title again, and it is the most difficult thing, so I try just to create chances and also work against the ball because I can also run a lot, and I will try to bring this to the team.
“Then, with the ball, I hope I can make the team better and bring my teammates into better situations.”
Andy Brassell, a writer and broadcaster specialising on the game across Europe, spoke to the Liverpool website ahead of the Wirtz signing about what he can bring to the club.
He said: “He’s just a great dribbler; he’s just great at going past people.
I spoke to Xabi Alonso about him around 18 months ago when I was over in Leverkusen, and he said, ‘Look, tactics are just a shape, and I trust the players to interpret everything as they see fit on the pitch.
“But Flo gets a little bit more freedom than everyone else.’ He trusted him to use his dribbling, his passing and his goalscoring ability in just the right spots.
He was given that bit of freedom.
“I think the way that Alonso managed him as well in the title-winning game – when he came on as a sub and scored a hat-trick against Werder Bremen – no-one is dropping Wirtz from the XI.
“But I think the fact Alonso dared to drop all of his good players at some point kept them fresh, and that was certainly the case for Florian Wirtz.”
