Everton are interested in signing two Manchester City stars this summer, a top source has revealed.

David Moyes is looking to reinforce his side’s attacking ranks ahead of the start of the Premier League season.

Jack Grealish has been heavily linked with a loan move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, after he fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola.

The Toffees are also in the race for James McAtee, who could be set to leave City on a permanent basis this summer.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that his old side have what it takes to complete a double deal, and bring in both Grealish and McAtee.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that with their new stadium, Everton have the ability to attract top talent to the club.

Grealish only played 715 Premier League minutes last season, with McAtee starting just three top-flight games, meaning that both are looking for a move away from Man City.

Wyness added that it would be a “big result” for Everton if they were to secure deals for the City pair.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “There are two players at City, I think Grealish, and if Everton can get James McAtee as well, that would be a really big result, and that’s what I’m hoping for from the summer.

“To me that would be a real sign of progress, and I think knowing Moyes and knowing Grealish, they’d get on really well.

This is the freedom that Jack would want on the pitch.

“I feel there’s a lot in him yet to prove people wrong after the last couple of seasons at City, and I’d love to see him do that at the new stadium.

“There’s a lot going for Everton just now in terms of attracting him.

Perhaps I’ve just got my rose coloured glasses on, but I’m hopeful that he could be in the blue next year.”

Meanwhile, Everton could sign Tyler Dibling this summer for half of Southampton’s initial asking price, sources have told Football Insider.

Dibling is seen by Everton as an alternative to City’s Grealish after their struggles to agree a loan move for the England winger, but a deal for the 19-year-old could also prove difficult.

Football Insider revealed in May that even Tottenham wouldn’t pay Dibling’s new price tag of £55m in the wake of Southampton’s relegation, and a further fall to £45–50m has opened the door for Everton.

Everton have now joined the race for Dibling after that significant reduction on his original valuation, but sources have told Football Insider that a £45–50m could still be too big an obstacle for the Toffees.
