Yves Bissouma could be set to leave Tottenham in the January transfer window with one club leading the race for his signature.
Bissouma has fallen out of favour under Thomas Frank and has been criticised by the new Spurs boss for apparent laziness and lateness.
The 29-year-old is yet to feature for Tottenham this season due to injury, but it remains to be seen whether he will be reintroduced by Frank when he is fully fit again.
On Monday (15 September), Football Insider exclusively revealed that both Everton and West Ham United could make a move for Bissouma when the transfer window reopens.
However, Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that the Hammers are current favourites to sign the Mali international.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that West Ham are leading the race for Bissouma, as he wants to stay in London.
The midfielder worked under Hammers boss Graham Potter during his time at Brighton, so already has a relationship with the Englishman.

Wyness added that Everton and David Moyes may be unwilling to take a risk on a player returning from injury.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I think the club that’s probably favourite in the race for Bissouma is West Ham.
“I just think that he would want to stay in London.
“Also, Moyes is now in a strong position, particularly with midfielders, so I don’t think he’d necessarily have to take a chance on somebody coming back from an injury, whereas I think West Ham probably do.
So I think it points all the way towards West Ham.”
Meanwhile, West Ham will not be short of managerial applicants if they decide to sack Potter, sources have told Football Insider.

Potter is coming under increasing pressure at West Ham, following the East London’s side poor start to the Premier League season.
The Hammers sit 18th in the table, with just three points from their first four games, and are coming off the back of a 3-0 defeat to rivals Tottenham last Saturday (13 September).
Sources say that if West Ham decide to part ways with Potter, then they will have a lot of takers for the manager’s job, as they are still a very attractive prospect.
