Liverpool have reportedly snatched a Tottenham backroom staff member.
The Reds are already building for next season after securing the Premier League title with four games to go.
This summer is expected to be a summer of many changes, with some current members of the current squad to leave the club.
Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott are players linked with a possible exit this summer.
Conversely, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz and a new No.
9, alongside the already confirmed Giorgi Mamardashvili, are expected to join Liverpool this summer.
Elsewhere, there could be changes in the Liverpool backroom staff, with assistant manager John Heitinga subject to interest from Ajax.
The Dutchman was a key figure in Liverpool’s coaching setup since joining Arne Slot’s backroom staff in July 2024. But he could become the next Ajax manager, after Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Liverpool have allowed the Dutchman to speak with the Dutch club over becoming their coach.
But while Heitinga’s future remains uncertain going into the summer, Liverpool have reportedly strengthened their scouting department by poaching Tika Musonda from Tottenham.
This is according The Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele and Dominic King, who write that “Liverpool have poached Tottenham’s Tika Musonda, who joins the Reds as a global talent scout after three and a half years at Spurs and two at Chelsea.
The brother of former Chelsea youth star Charly, Musonda completed a Master’s degree in sport business and leadership, writing a paper on the challenges, complexities and cognitive biases that scouts face in the Premier League.”
Liverpool describes global talent scouts as staff members who “use experience and knowledge to accurately showcase high potential players to global talent staff” and “extend our reach to support the quick identification of high-profile players from around the world”.
The club also recently hired former Liverpool man Stewart Downing as part of the Global Talent scouting team.
