Tottenham looks to be closing in on the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest - a signing Jamie Carragher has previously suggested he would have liked to have seen at Liverpool.
Like the Reds, Spurs look to be keeping themselves busy in the summer transfer window as they prepare for their return to the Champions League next season, having earned a place in the competition after winning the Europa League.
Having replaced Ange Postecoglou with Thomas Frank as manager, the north London club has already secured the signing of Mohammed Kudus this week, and looks set to add Morgan Gibbs-White to the mix.

According to various reports, the Forest star is undergoing a medical today (Friday) ahead of completing an $81 million move, having had his release clause triggered by Tottenham.
Gibbs-White heads to Spurs off the back of a superb season with Forest, in which he helped Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to a place in Europe, having finished seventh in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old scored seven goals and bagged 10 assists in 34 league appearances, leading to rumors linking him with a transfer to some England’s top clubs, including Liverpool at one stage.

His performances also saw him earn plaudits from Liverpool legend Carragher, who even seemed to talk up the prospect of Gibbs-White moving to Anfield after suggesting he would be an upgrade on Dominik Szoboszlai.
“I’ve been watching Morgan Gibbs-White now for probably 18 months in the Premier League and I’m convinced he can play for one of the top teams,” Carragher told The Overlap US: It’s Called Soccer podcast back in February.
“I look at him in that number 10 position, he’s got goals, he’s got energy, he’s quick, he gets on the ball and I think that lad has got a lot going for him and obviously he’s going to get a move.
It will be difficult for him to play because of the players that you have in that position but I think, look I say he’s going to play for one of the top teams but Forest are that at the minute, I’m going to get slaughtered here aren’t I, but what I mean is that I could see him, I think he’s as good as Szoboszlai, if not better, in that number 10 position
I think he’s brilliant.”
Liverpool has of course dipped into the transfer market for a new option in the No.10 role, with Florian Wirtz arriving in a club record deal from Bayer Leverkusen.
What that will mean for Szoboszlai’s place in the side remains to be seen, with the Reds’ remaining transfer business this summer likely to play a role in Arne Slot’s decision-making.
