Spurs have now turned their attention to Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers, who according to the Independent [22 August], is a “priority target.”
The club were prepared to spend around £60million on Eze or Gibbs-White, but a deal for Rogers could prove more substantial.
The 23-year-old has a contract until 2030 and could cost over £80m, with the Independent stating “it might have to go even higher to make Villa think.”

Losing out on Eze late in the window leaves little time for an alternative to be signed, which leaves Frank with a creative void in his squad.

The midfielder would be perfect for Spurs, but Villa look like they will drive a high price before agreeing to any deal.
