Tottenham fans were quick to voice a unified reaction after a surprise transfer update emerged linking the club with Manchester City winger Savinho.
Spurs have already enjoyed a busy summer, with significant changes both on and off the pitch, most notably the arrival of Thomas Frank as head coach alongside several arrivals also joining.
The new boss has wasted no time in reshaping his squad, as Tottenham have secured deals for Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso.
However, with James Maddison sidelined after suffering an ACL injury, Spurs are now expected to dip back into the transfer market.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on 10 August that Tottenham have opened “club-to-club talks” with Manchester City in a bid to sign winger Savinho.
He added that Spurs have already made an approach and that the Brazilian is “open to the move if the clubs can agree on a fee”.

Savinho joined City last summer from fellow City Football Group side Troyes in a deal worth around £30million.
He became a regular in Pep Guardiola’s squad, making 48 appearances in his debut campaign, though he found the net just three times.
Despite his modest goal return, many Man City fans were impressed with Savinho’s performances, with some even suggesting Jack Grealish should make way given the Brazilian’s impact and increasing role in the squad.
With Rayan Cherki arriving from Lyon earlier this window and his capability of operating out wide, Savinho could see his minutes reduced next season, potentially paving the way for an exit.

Following Heung-Min Son’s departure to MLS side LAFC last week and Maddison’s injury, Tottenham are in need of attacking reinforcements, and Savinho now appears to be a prime target.
As a natural winger, his arrival could allow new signing Kudus to feature more centrally in an attacking midfield role, especially with injuries in the squad.
